There are various types of sheep's and in different parts of world, the wool variety also differs. The sheep is shared 2-3 times in a year and the characteristics or the physical properties differs from one weather to another. When the wool is shorn, it is known as Greasy wool which contain certain impurities in it.

When the Greasy wool is washed to remove the impurities by the process of scouring it is known as Scoured wool.
